The Beginings of the CPL

The first in carnation was 'The Baseball Authority' in 2006, and was a relatively small and uneventful standard, redraft fantasy baseball league. This league was founded and commissionered by Ben Remington, and included several members of the now CPL. It was a Yahoo! free fantasy baseball league, and had a small pot of $160. The league was won by John Kelly over Matt Sullivan in the Championship Game. This league is what spawned the idea of a dynasty league that would require much in depth participation and scouting. During the winter months of 2006-2007, Baseball Authority member Ray Stafford started planning the current verision of the CPL.
