Jay Bruce was a lone bright spot for the Reds in their blowout loss to the Phillies on Monday, going 3-for-4 with a three-run homer.
He tagged Cole Hamels for a three-run shot in the fourth inning, his second bomb in as many days, eighth of the month and 12th of the season. After a very slow start, Bruce is now playing like one of the best right fielders in all of baseball.
