The Heroes send Staff ace Derek Holland and role player Coco Crisp for much needed SS help in JJ Hardy and 2 Time Kelly's Ace of the Year Roy Halladay..

Hero of the Week for week 2

The Heroes kept up there winning ways by knocking off the defending champs Ball Busters in come from behind fashion again.

The Hero of week 2 was 1B Prince Fielder, he went 12/19 with 2HR, 11RBI, 5runs, 9BB's  and ended the week with a 1.891OPS.  Needless to say the former Buster took it to his old team in
a big way.

Hero of the Week: Week 1

David Wright  was named Hero of the week for week one.  The Heroes got off to a strong start to the year winning against Big Hurts 11-4-1 and David Wright was a big reason.  His line last week was 6/20 .300avg with 6BB he also chipped 4 runs, 3 RBI and all 3 of the Heroes SB.

Hero's Top 150 Guys

John Sickle just came out wit his yearly top 150 list and it featured 6 Hero's in the top 100 and 8 of the top 150

52) Kyle Crick, RHP, San Francisco Giants,
55) Robert Stephenson, RHP, Cincinnati Reds
73) Chris Stratton, RHP San Francisco Giants
76) Courtney Hawkins, OF, Chicago White Sox,
91) James Paxton, LHP, Seattle Mariners,
97) Brandon Maurer, RHP, Seattle Mariners
125) Jesse Winker, OF, Cincinnati Reds
140) Matt Skole, 3B-1B, Washington Nationals, 2015

COMMENT: Hawkins might look too low in this spot a year from now, if not two months from now. He can be a monster.

COMMENT: Coulter, Roache, and Winker are 2012 drafts who could all rank much higher a year from now.

COMMENT: Fried and Stephenson both have Top 20 potential, if not Top 10, for 2014.

Trade Offer Made

Hero's get

4th and 8th pick in the 2013 draft

Brob would get

SP Tim Lincecum - coming off a bad year but the K rate is still really good and young enough (mid 20's) to be part of the youth movement that you have going on.  Plus if he returns to 2008-2011 form you have one of the 10 best SP's  in the game.

OF AJ Pollock - Grade B-: Fourth outfielder profile, does a lot of things pretty well, can steal a base, hit for a decent average, play good defense. Won't hit many homers.

http://www.minorleagueball.com/2012/12/20/3789070/arizona-diamondbacks-top-20-prospects-for-2013

SP John Lamb - Grade B-: I'm always careful with Tommy John grades, since the recovery is not as automatic as people think. Retains mid-rotation upside if health allows.

http://www.minorleagueball.com/2012/11/13/3643050/kansas-city-royals-top-20-prospects-for-2013

SP Ariel Pena - Grade B-: Another component of the Greinke trade, Pena throws very hard and has a good slider, but gets into trouble when he leaves his pitches too high in the strike zone. He sagged after the trade and is something of an enigma. You can draw a scenario where he becomes a number three starter, or one where he becomes a closer, or one where he becomes nothing.

http://www.minorleagueball.com/2013/1/6/3842642/milwaukee-brewers-top-20-prospects-for-2013

SP Charlie Lowell - Grade B-: Good fastball/changeup combination, still working on slider and had some command wobbles in High-A. If that improves, can be a three/four starter or a nice relief option.

http://www.minorleagueball.com/2012/12/8/3745088/miami-marlins-top-20-prospects-for-2013

OF Marc Krauss - Grade C+: Good Double-A power numbers and drew tons of walks, but was helpless in Triple-A and is already 25 now. Probably a role-playing platoon bat with power.
